Power Generation
Power-system automation is the act of automatically controlling the power system via instrumentation and control devices. Substation automation refers to using data from Intelligent electronic devices (IED), control and automation capabilities within the substation, and control commands from remote users to control power-system devices.
The automation modules should cover all these processes and all the applications are required to be integrated with centralised control.
Power Generation Benefits
Automated systems can monitor and control various processes more precisely and consistently than human operators, resulting in increased output and decreased waste.
- Implementing automated systems in power generation
- Monitor the health and performance of equipment
- Enable predictive maintenance and reduce unplanned downtime
